Welcome To The Chestnuts Residential Home
The Chestnuts provide a highly specialised residential care home that offers dedicated encouragement to support people to make the move to Supported Living in a positive manner. We support adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including Autism and Asperger syndrome, Fragile X and other Learning Disabilities.
The Chestnuts offer a range of highly trained staff which supports adults with Autism, Asperger syndrome, Fragile X and other Learning Disabilities to understand and manage their condition whilst developing their social, communication and independent living skills.
Every placement is co-ordinated to respond to the individual needs of the client, aiming to instil confidence, develop skills and encourage participation in a meaningful lifestyle. Our specialist services provide a structured care environment, with person centred timetables and care plans which build on individual strengths and needs, whilst providing structure, predictability and opportunity.
Our home is based in Coalville in Leicestershire. Our home provides specialist care for residents on a specific area of the autistic spectrum, meaning that residents are always living with peers of similar abilities and can be supported individually and collectively by staff, specially trained to meet their specific needs and abilities.
Our service is located close to local amenities in order to assist residents in developing their social awareness, communication skills and support their positive experiences and engagement with the local community.
We aim to provide a comfortable home environment for each and every resident and encourage individuals to personalise their rooms and make collective choices about the decor in the communal areas of their home.
